What are the characteristics of Frantoi Cutrera's PGI monocultivar oils?

Our PGI extra virgin olive oils best express the characteristics of the cultivars from which they are produced. Moresca is harvested in the Noto area, in south-eastern Sicily, and we obtain a delicate and fruity oil from it. From Nocellara Etnea, the native variety of the area around the Etna volcano, we produce an intense oil with a medium fruitiness. Biancolilla, a typical variety of central western Sicily, gives us a very fragrant oil. From Nocellara del Belice, which comes from the areas of Partanna Campobello di Mazara, in the province of Trapani, we obtain another special extra virgin olive oil with a medium fruitiness. The Tonda Iblea, from the Monti Iblei area, in south-eastern Sicily, produces an oil with a very intense fruitiness, and the Cerasuola from the Sciacca area, in the most central part of Sicily, an oil with a medium fruitiness.

Where is Frantoi Cutrera PGI monocultivar oil produced?

Our Monocultivar PGI extra virgin olive oil is produced in our factories starting from the olives that arrive from our network throughout Sicily. We only promote suppliers capable of providing high quality local raw materials, grown organically. And above all, we support small production: we maintain an intrinsic bond with the local community made up of olive growers and small producers who give our mills the best of their production. With a view to sustainable development and with an important added value for the territory.

How can you recognize Primo BIO oil?

Primo Bio can be recognized by the appropriate BIO mark on the label. It is the guarantee that the product comes from plants grown organically. We dedicate the same care to them as to all the rest of our crops. Because, beyond the BIO brand, all our products comply with our environmental sustainability project.
