Primo and Primo Bio

Our Primo DOP monocultivar extra virgin olive oil contains its own history in its name. It is obtained from the olives of the first harvest of the year, it was our first oil to be awarded back in 2001 and it was the first Monti Iblei DOP certified extra virgin olive oil. Thanks to our long work of experiments in the field and in the oil mill, it was possible to start the process for the recognition of what is today considered one of the most valuable and sought-after Sicilian PDOs.

Its story begins on the centuries-old olive trees facing south on the Iblei Mountains, 400 meters above sea level.

Usage

Excellent with grilled meat and fish, soups and salads, bruschetta or capresi, raw on vegetables and grilled vegetables.

Six typical varieties for six Cru oils, as well as for the wine, each an expression of a territory: from Etna to Noto, from the south-western coast to the center of the island.

With our monocultivars Tonda Iblea, Nocellara Etnea, Nocellara del Belice, Moresca, Cerasuola and Biancolilla we want to celebrate Sicilian olive excellence, because each variety has such different characteristics that it can guarantee equally distinct taste experiences.
