Segreti di Sicilia preserved foods are prepared with selected Sicilian raw materials and preserved in extra virgin olive oil without artificial additives. Whole Nocellara olives in brine, sun-dried cherry tomatoes, Palermo-style artichoke caponata, purple artichoke hearts, Cantabrian anchovy fillets, tuna fillets, and caper spread: an authentic Sicilian pantry, ready at any time.
We use only Cutrera extra virgin olive oil as the preserving liquid — not seed oil, not mixtures. This ensures that the flavor of the ingredients is enhanced, not masked. Each jar is heat-sealed without chemical preservatives, in small artisanal batches, respecting the island's traditional recipes.
Our Sicilian preserved foods are versatile in the kitchen: sun-dried tomatoes and artichoke caponata dress pasta, tuna and anchovies are used for quick sauces or bruschetta, caper spread is perfect on croutons or as a sauce for white meats.

How should they be stored after opening?
In the refrigerator, with the ingredients always covered by oil. It is recommended to consume them within 3-5 days. If necessary, add extra virgin olive oil to keep everything submerged.

Do oil-preserved products contain preservatives?
No. Preservation is guaranteed exclusively by extra virgin olive oil and salt, without artificial additives.

Are they suitable for vegans?
Vegetable preserves (olives, artichokes, tomatoes, capers) are vegan. Anchovies and tuna, of course, are not. Each product page lists the complete ingredients.

Can I use them for cooking as well as an appetizer?
Yes. Sun-dried tomatoes and artichoke caponata are excellent pasta sauces. Tuna and anchovies are used for quick sauces, pasta salads, or bruschetta. Caper cream is perfect spread on croutons or as a sauce for white meats.
