    Our Segreti di Sicilia line of preserves was born from the love for this land and its traditions, from the scents of our childhood, from our grandmother's secrets and from the rediscovery of an authentic and genuine past. Each product speaks of a specific territory, of a biodiversity that the world envies us. We choose each of them from our own crops or from our network, small and local productions and farmers who work the land with the same passion and respect as in the past. These genuine products are then transformed in our modern canning plant with the help of latest generation machinery. We use innovative cooking and processing techniques that guarantee absolute respect for the original recipe and, at the same time, the preservation of all the organoleptic characteristics of the fresh product and its main nutritional aspects. The absence of preservatives and colorings allows you to taste a genuine product.

Nocellara olives, a native Sicilian variety, are particularly rich in easily digestible fiber which helps to regulate the functioning of the intestinal system. Furthermore, thanks to the presence of Vitamin E, beta-carotene and antioxidants, they help fight free radicals, reduce bad cholesterol and blood pressure, preventing cardiovascular diseases. These olives are seasoned and preserved rigorously with the best Frantoi Cutrera extra virgin olive oil which, taking on the flavor of the ingredient, can be reused as an original condiment for bruschetta, first and second courses.

We recommend consuming peasant olives as they appear, without further processing. The intense flavor of the olives, due to the seasoning with typical Sicilian aromas and the preservation in Frantoi Cutrera extra virgin olive oil, makes them special. They can be placed on a cheese and cured meat platter, accompanied by gourmet bruschetta or pitted and inserted into fresh and original salads or sandwiches. The preservation oil is the precious Frantoi Cutrera extra virgin olive oil and can be reused as an aromatic condiment for other bruschettas, for salads or simply on bread.

There are many Sicilian varieties of peasant olives, we chose the family one, the recipe that our grandparents kept in their pantries and which they used to prepare our Sunday family lunches. The scent of mint and fennel that emanates from the bowl and the taste of the oil in which to dip the bread are still very vivid memories for us. In addition to these two wild herbs, our recipe also includes the addition of parsley, oregano, garlic and chilli pepper.

For our artichoke hearts we only use Sicilian "Violetto" artichokes, a typical variety grown in various areas of the island and in particular in the south-eastern ones. To these we add, during processing, Frantoi Cutrera extra virgin olive oil (Biancolilla variety) and typical aromatic herbs that go well with the artichoke, i.e. oregano, spicy chilli pepper and mint.
