Segreti di Sicilia pestos are made with selected Sicilian ingredients, without artificial preservatives and without cooking: the flavor remains fresh and intense, just like homemade. Bronte pistachios, almonds, basil, sun-dried tomatoes, capers — each pesto tells the story of a specific area of the island.
The pistachio and almond pesto is the most requested: PDO Bronte pistachios ground with Sicilian almonds, extra virgin olive oil, and basil. Creamy, with an intense and slightly sweet flavor, it's perfect with pasta, on bruschetta, spread on crostini, or as a condiment for fish and meat main courses.
Pesto alla Trapanese follows the traditional recipe from western Sicily: almonds, tomato, basil, and garlic. More rustic and flavorful, it's ideal for short pasta — especially busiate, a typical Trapanese shape. The Sicilian version of basil pesto adds a touch of capers to the almonds, giving it a more decisive aromatic profile than the classic Genoese.
