    Our Segreti di Sicilia line of preserves was born from the love for this land and its traditions, from the scents of our childhood, from our grandmother's secrets and from the rediscovery of an authentic and genuine past. Each product speaks of a specific territory, of a biodiversity that the world envies us. We choose each of them from our own crops or from our network, small and local productions and farmers who work the land with the same passion and respect as in the past. These genuine products are then transformed in our modern canning plant with the help of latest generation machinery. We use innovative cooking and preservation techniques that guarantee absolute respect for the original recipe and, at the same time, the preservation of all the organoleptic characteristics of the fresh product and its main nutritional aspects. The absence of preservatives and colorings allows you to taste a genuine product.

Nero d'Avola, an indigenous variety, is a wine characterized by its typical intense ruby ​​red color with violet reflections. Wine with a strong character, it has a fruity and spicy flavour. It can recall notes of cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant and dried plum on the palate. Depending on the maturation and aging methods, the spicy hints of liquorice, cloves, rhubarb but also cocoa, chocolate and cinnamon will be more or less accentuated. Versatile wine, it pairs perfectly with numerous first courses, meat second courses, roasts and cheeses.

Like other excellent quality jams, our Segreti di Sicilia Wine Delight can be used for breakfasts and snacks, for example spread on a slice of toast or used to season plain yogurt. Its use is also interesting in combination with cheeses (goat's or cow's milk) or for the preparation of cakes and desserts.

Generally, sweet and creamy cheeses go well with compotes and jams with a sour flavour, while sweet compotes and jams go better with mature ones. For example, soft, sweet and fresh cheeses such as ricotta and robiola go well with acidic jams such as lemon, orange and mandarin jams, or berry jam. Hard and mature cow's milk cheeses such as Grana Padano or Parmigiano Reggiano go well with pear jam, goat's cheese with raspberry, fig and apricot jam or orange and mandarin jam, pecorino cheese with lemon jam and tomato or onion.

According to our traditional recipe, orange marmalade is prepared in such a way that the bitterness is well balanced and not very present on the palate. In fact, the processing involves a soaking phase which allows the bitter notes to disperse before cooking.
