    Our olive sauce with Nocellara olives is produced by lightly sautéing onion in Frantoi Cutrera extra virgin olive oil. To this are added the tomato sauce and the other ingredients, including the Nocellara olives, in a low pressure cooker to preserve the organoleptic characteristics of all the raw materials. The sauce has an intense red color, with aromatic notes of tomato and Nocellara olives. The consistency is velvety with alternating crunchiness due to the presence of the tasty pieces of olives.

For our olive sauce with Nocellara Segreti di Sicilia olives we choose our Nocellara olives. This native Sicilian variety is particularly rich in easily digestible fiber which helps to regulate the functioning of the intestinal system. Furthermore, thanks to the presence of Vitamin E, beta-carotene and antioxidants, these olives help fight free radicals, reduce bad cholesterol and blood pressure, preventing cardiovascular diseases.

The olive sauce with Nocellara Segreti di Sicilia olives can be consumed naturally, without further processing. Just heat it for two minutes in a saucepan over low heat and season the pasta directly on the plate. To be finished only with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and herbs to taste, such as a sprinkling of parsley and two basil leaves.

The Segreti di Sicilia Nocellara olive sauce with olives is ready to be used, no cooking or preparation is required. To season a classic pasta dish, this sauce should only be heated slightly over low heat. For a more homogeneous result you can heat the sauce in the pan and, finally, sauté the pasta while still al dente in the pan together with the sauce.

According to our traditional recipe, the olive sauce is prepared starting from a sautéed onion in which the tomato puree is then cooked together with the olives and other Sicilian aromas. You can also prepare the olive sauce starting from a base such as our ready-made organic cherry tomato sauce and our Nocellara green olives in brine.
