The Special Selection features Frantoi Cutrera's finest extra virgin olive oils: limited productions, rare cultivars, oils that represent the pinnacle of what Sicilian olive growing can achieve. The Nocellara Salvatore Cutrera is a monocultivar from Nocellara del Belice olives harvested by hand on the family farm—intense, green fruity, with notes of artichoke and fresh almond. It is produced in limited quantities each year and is among the most recognized oils in international industry guides.
The Giovanni Cutrera is a tribute to the company's founder: a balanced and complex blend of selected Sicilian cultivars, designed to represent Frantoi Cutrera's production philosophy in its most complete form.
The Mille is the rarest oil in the range: produced from wild olive trees, the spontaneous wild olive of the Sicilian Mediterranean scrub. A production of only a few thousand bottles a year, with a unique aromatic profile—herbaceous, intense, with marked bitter and spicy notes—impossible to replicate in intensive cultivation.
