    Blend of Moresca, Biancolilla and Nocellara varieties, harvested in south-eastern Sicily at 200-400 meters above sea level, from young olive groves in hilly and flat areas close to the sea. With added natural basil flavour.

    Solely mechanically, in a latest generation oil mill with continuous cycle 4.0 technology, two-phase extraction, without adding water and at a controlled "cold" temperature (<27°C).

To flavor our special Selezione Cutrera blend we use only natural basil flavouring. Basil is an aromatic herb typical of all Mediterranean areas. The most widespread and used variety in Sicily has large, fleshy and very fragrant leaves, it covers vegetable gardens and balconies starting from spring and expands its aroma for meters and meters. The essence is extracted from fresh basil leaves through natural methods that allow all the organoleptic characteristics of the basil to be kept intact and, obviously, all the taste and aroma to then be found intact in the dish.

It can be used in all dishes where you want to add the scent, aroma and delicacy of basil together with the oil-based dressing. The scent of basil in the kitchen accompanies all traditional Mediterranean dishes, from classic bruschetta to the very simple pasta with tomato sauce.
